Database

The Database records the history of your Placecasting sessions. It lets you manage content distribution, measure audience response and generate invaluable metrics.

Address:
Displays the Bluetooth Address of discovered devices.

Name:
Lists the Name of the discovered devices.

Blacklist:
Specifies the Blacklist status of discovered devices. You can blacklist unwanted recipients to prevent them from receiving your content. Alternatively Consola will do this automatically whenever a user rejects a file.

Filename:
Displays files successfully transfered to the listed device. Files that are not pushed - i.e. the user has rejected them - are omitted. Files listed here are not re-sent to the listed device, unless you disable the 'Don“t resend already sent Files' on the Database Preferences.

Current

This is an additional display which shows the currently inquired devices (as opposed to the Database display which shows all devices ever detected). It also shows the association between a Device and its Device Key. This display is thus intended to be used by Surface developers who want to test and set-up their html pages. (The information displayed under 'Current' is also available via JavaScript from the html page).
